Welcome to bioxml.org. This site is intended to be a center of development for open source biological dtds.

You're probably looking for The GAME spec. GAME is the primary DTD currently hosted on the site. It's a DTD for doing genome annotation. For more info check out The GAME Faq. If your still interested check out the WikiWeb.

WikiWeb

Wiki is a community documentation system. Users can edit the documentation - directly on the web page in Netscape - as they see fit. This is an incredibly useful way to keep documentation up to date. As a result, this is probably the best, most up to date place to find out about bioxml's current state. It includes a GAME Tutorial. Enjoy!

bioxml.org is a resource to gather XML documentation, DTDs and tools for biology in one central location.  It overlaps in interest and in tools with several other open source projects, including bioperl, biojava, biopython, biocorba and biodas.

bioxml is colocated with bio.perl.org on a donated alpha server from Compaq and with bandwidth donated by the genetics institute. There is lots of cross-pollination
between the bioxml guys (and girls) and the bioperl guys (some people are developers on both sites) but in no way is bioxml perl-centric - it is XML centric.
