BioXML Roadmap - This is a partial summary of some of the major areas of biological data that people might want to represent and how they could represent them with the current GAME.  It is not meant to be comprehensive (or even close).   In particular, the sub elements are incomplete.  I tried to include only the most interesting ones for the sake of brevity. It's meant as a starting place to figure out what we have and what we don't.  It's also meant as a reference for how to use the GAME dtd.   Finally, don't take this as gospel, I'm just learning GAME myself .  As always, comments are welcome.
Data Type GAME Elements Sub Elements Sub Elements Comments
sequence seq dbxref* Most elements have a dbxref as an option -very convenient.
map_position*
clone*
residues?
exon feature_set name? eg Exon1
type? Exon
evidence* Could be computational_analysis or dbxref
seq?
blast results computational_analysis program Blast
parameter*
result_set* score?
seq_relationship* This is the seq-region and alignment.
gene function annotation gene name?
synonym? Seems to me like this should be synonym*
species?
aspect* function
gene expression ? I don't know how you would do this.
restriction map computational_analysis program
parameter* I guess this could be the restriction enzyme.
result_set* output* name, value pair - maybe site1, 356 : site2 : 1483 .....
